Regent Seven Seas Cruises Expands Prestige-Class Series with Third Ultra-Luxury Newbuild
Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. (NCLH) has officially signed a newbuild agreement with Fincantieri to deliver a third Prestige-Class vessel for Regent Seven Seas Cruises, reinforcing the company’s long-term commitment to growth in the luxury cruise segment. Scheduled for delivery in 2033, this ship will further elevate Regent’s standing as a global leader in all-inclusive, ultra-luxury cruising.
The order follows the anticipated 2026 debut of Seven Seas Prestige and a second Prestige-Class ship set for 2030. Together, these next-generation vessels represent the brand’s first new ship class in over a decade, blending cutting-edge design with the hallmarks of Regent’s signature experience: expansive suites, personalized service, and immersive culinary and cultural offerings.
“This newbuild order continues our measured, strategic expansion within the luxury space,” said Jason Montague, Chief Luxury Officer at NCLH. “It reflects our confidence in the growing demand for Regent’s best-in-class offering and reaffirms our long-standing partnership with Fincantieri—one rooted in craftsmanship and shared pursuit of perfection.”
Pierroberto Folgiero, CEO of Fincantieri, echoed the sentiment: “This latest contract confirms the trust NCLH places in Fincantieri’s expertise to deliver innovative, sustainable, and exquisitely crafted ships that meet the evolving aspirations of the luxury cruise market.”
The third Prestige-Class ship will offer the same Unrivaled Space at Sea as its sisters—measuring 77,000 gross registered tons with accommodations for only 822 guests and 630 crew. This results in one of the highest space-to-guest and crew-to-guest ratios in the industry.
Among its standout features:
- All-balcony suites, spanning 12 categories, including the debut of four all-new suite types.
- The Skyview Regent Suite, the largest all-inclusive suite in cruise history.
- Elegant public spaces like the Starlight Atrium and Galileo’s Bar.
- 11 curated dining venues, including the new Azure, a Mediterranean mezze-style concept, plus returning favorites Chartreuse, Prime 7, and Pacific Rim.
This announcement comes as the luxury cruise space sees renewed focus from NCLH. While Oceania Cruisesprepares to christen Allura, and both Insignia and Seven Seas Navigator remain in their respective fleets following a pivot from planned Crescent Seas charters, this latest investment signals NCLH’s confidence in distinct positioning for both luxury brands.
